During 2012 U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services served in various agency and adminstrative capacities on a
variety of high profile transactions including Opera Uni-Invest CMBS, the first
European CMBS transaction to default at note maturity. In this well publicised
transaction the Class A bondholders approved the private equity joint venture bid
of TPG and Patron Capital who took control of the portfolio in September last
year. Following this acquisition, TPG and Patron injected EUR144m into a new
restructured transaction and reissued new notes. |

U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust acting as paying agent added significant value
in this situation helping to support the restructuring, redeeming the old notes and
liaising with the ICSDs to allocate new ISINs - a complex process requiring the
setup of new accounts and management of numerous corporate actions with the
absence of a lead manager. The team has been at the centre of the CMBS and
CRE market for over 10 years and received great feedback for their contribution
to a smooth and successful restructure. |
