Snow Paint

Anyone can build a plain old snowman or snow-fort... but how about colorful snow art?! If snowy days are getting a little ho-hum, add some color into your kids' snow play with this super-easy idea for snow paint. Let your little Picassos go crazy with color in the snow — it adds a whole new dimension of fun to snow days, plus it costs under $10 with items from Dollar Tree.

Shop at Dollar Tree — Here's What You'll Need:

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Fill the squirt bottles with water.

  2. Remove the BACK cap of the washable markers.
(There is a removable back to the markers that will pop off. Sometimes it is hard to remove, so a pair of pliers will help... it is probably best for Mom and Dad to do this part.)

  3. Remove the ink sticks from each marker and place them inside the squirt bottles (one per bottle).

  4. Place the lids back on each bottle, make sure they're on tight, then give the bottles a good shake.w

  5. Let the squirt bottles sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour to allow the marker ink to bleed into the water.

  6. Once the ink has bled into the water, shake each bottle to distribute the color evenly.

  7. Bundle up... you'll be outside painting the snow for hours of fun!
