Are all the birthday and anniversary cards you send usually "belated" because you just can't seem to remember to get to the store? Well, not this year! Take the time this January to plan ahead and get organized.
- First, make a list of all your friends' and family's birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc. Then (and here's the fun part) go to Dollar Tree and purchase cards for each of those occasions and all the people on your list. Don't worry, cards from Dollar Tree won't cost you a fortune! We carry a wide selection of cards for every occasion and every holiday and celebration... and they're just $1 each (or 2 for $1 in some cases).
- While you are at Dollar Tree, be sure to pick up an expandable plastic file folder with divided sections — we carry one that's just slightly larger than an average-sized greeting card, plus it's made of durable, flexible plastic that will resist tearing and hold up all year.
- Write the months on the tabs of your file folder, then put the appropriate cards into the correct month's tab. Be sure to store your list of people and occasions inside the organizer as well, both as a reminder on dates AND to save you the trouble of making the list again next year. Want to be extra proactive? Stamp and address your envelopes at the same time you are organizing your card folder.
- Finally, at the beginning of each month, pull out the cards for that month, write a personal note in each card (if you want), and drop them in the mail. So easy, so affordable... and so organized. The best part? You'll never send belated wishes again!
Fun Tip:
- Instead of organizing your cards by month, organize them by occasion. Then, just stock up on a lot of different types of cards and you'll be ready to send greetings and happy thoughts for every occasion... even ones you didn't plan for!
